I am a legitimate oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, and as of January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of these yet? (? You'll locate all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They are a few of the most well-known recipes on my site cause they taste really sweet and comfy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined flour or sugar!

That means you will start with whole wheat flour (or gluten free, if you like ) and instantaneous oats (like these... or these for a gluten-free version!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than conventional rolled oats, also you may find them in canisters right alongside those classic oats at the grocery store.

I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and want your cookies to flip out perfectly plump and soft, I am reminding you ... Measure your yogurt and bread correctly, using this technique or even a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I own and enjoy. It only cost $20!) A lot of either ingredient is likely to make your biscuits taste cakey or dry, rather than chewy. This is especially true of the oats--they behave like little sponges and consume lots of moisture out of the cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Love all of @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthful banana recipes!

See these bananas? And all of those brown stains? If it comes to baking with bananas, brown = amazing! I ? extra speckly bananas cause they've so much glowing, bold taste --and also additional natural sweetness! That is the minimum number of brown which I suggest. More is even better!

The rest of the cookie dough's sweetness comes from another organic ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You would like the type that comes directly from maple trees, which is normally offered in skinny glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake sugar and sugar!

The raisins add even more natural sweetness! The freshly bought, extra plump, perfectly delicate ones are perfect... But for those who have old, somewhat dried out raisins (hmm... it seems silly to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that's fine!

Just add them to some microwave-safe bowland pour water on top until they're fully covered. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Should you let the raisins sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them they're exceptionally succulent --and that makes a large difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup (63g) mashed banana

Notes: It's extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats correctly employing this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That's exactly the one I own and enjoy!) Too much of either will dry out the biscuits and leave them cakey rather than chewy.

Instant oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or moment oats. They come in large canisters, exactly like old-fashioned oats. They're not those at the small flavored loaf of bread. To create your own, add the same number of conservative yogurt into your food processor, and pulse 10-12 days or until the great post to read oats are about 1/4 into ? of their original size.

For the fermented flour, I suggest the following blend: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, 2 tbsp (15g) brown rice flour, also 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum. Most store-bought fermented flour blends (such as that one!) Will also do the job, if quantified like this.

If your raisins are older, drier, and not very plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and pour water at the top till they're totally coated.
